  2. This is terrible news for my favorite F1 driver. You gotta cheer for the Pole. We might never see him in an F1 car again.

  3. No, I think he could still be back - but it likely won't be this season! He is well respected in the paddock - I think his seat is safe for at least another year.

  4. There's a chance he won't be back. Hope he makes it as he is far better than the likes of Heidfeld....

I'm stunned Renault put Heidfeld in the seat as he was beaten by team-mate Raikkonen, team-mate Kubica, team-mate Kobayashi....

The F1 team mangers have no imagination when it comes to driver selection.

  6. If Kubica is out of an F1 ride maybe he'll land in sports cars or touring cars. Hurry back Robert!

  7. Earl - are you "more in the know" of what the extent of his injuries are? We certainly are getting pretty vague info from the standard media reports.

  8. I had absolutely no idea that Kubica had a "nearly severed" hand as a result of his accident! No wonder there is so much speculation about his return (or not)! Glad to hear he has finally left Italian hospital, but no doubt, he has a very long road ahead of him. This was a great deal more than a lot of broken bones!

    Hopefully NOT

  10. Well....I guess it's been confirmed - Kubica won't be back in 2011 (probably not much of a "news" story to those in the know, but I wasn't one of those, so it was news to me - I kept hoping anyway). As for 2012, it sounds pretty vague as well, and if someone who is "in the know" could just say what the real situation is, then maybe those of us peons could either keep hoping, or send a condolence card and get on with it. Sad, but my woman's intuition tells me his career is over.
