Here's My Pick for the 2011 Indy Series

http://www.indycar.com/news/show/55-izod-indycar-series/41813-power-charged-for-another-run-at-series-title/

I LIKE this guy - I think he has a very good future ahead of him, and I'm going to cheer him on this season.

  1. You gotta luvaffair with Aussies Jocksmemate???

Funny thing is, before I even opened the url I was thinking Ive gotta throw my support behind Will Power, temporarily forgetting Ryan Briscoe.

You know that WP comes from the same home-town as our CaptK Sam Tickell don't you?

  2. Really going out on a limb there - declaring WP as a favorite for the title this year? Wow - never considered that possibility . . . Ha - just giving you grief. With the additional oval experience under his belt he'll be the one to watch for sure.

It'll generally be pretty hard to put your money on anyone who is not with either Penske or Ganassi. I will say though that my personal favorite this year will be Tony Kanaan. I've been a big fan of Jimmy Vassar forever - the KV team has put some good equipment on the track - and TK knows how to win on all kinds of tracks. The odds are stacked against both TK and KVRT but it would be a great story if they could make it work.

  3. Well cheering for WP or TK sounds like a huge "underdog" vote, but what the heck...let's go for it. I'd LOVE to see TK win a race for KV simply because of the Champ Car nostalgia, but I do believe WP has the talent (and occasionally the car) to take it to Penske and Ganassi. Oh well, having a couple of guys to cheer for doesn't hurt.

And yes Knac, in honor of you - I'm going for the Aussies this year! :)

  4. Does TK @ KV mean I can wear my "PKV Racing" Champcar cap again? Aussie flavour continues with the KK connection of course.

  5. I'd love to see Will Power win, shame he couldn't do it in 2010...

I really don't know much of Indycar anymore, haven't really followed it over the last couple of years.

  6. As much as i would like to see Will or Ryan win it will be a tough ask up against Dario and Scott, that is going to be a tough combo
