Any way to break this down into sub-blogs?

Just thinking here (that's a problem right out of the gate . . .). As we get more threads going, the list of topics is going to be really hard to manage. It was great on the old forum, where it was broken down and organized by different race series. It won't be long before we have a couple of hundred different threads, and it's going to be pretty hard to follow things.

Any way to break it into different categories (F1 / Indy / Nascar / sports cars / etc) without creating an entirely separate blog for each?

  1. I'll look into that. But on a different blog that I have I thought that I'd be able to set up different pages with different topics - like a forum but just me ranting :D - but Blogger doesn't seem to work that way.

I'll play and try a few things. Maybe a forum is what we really need.

  3. A forum might be the way we have to go. But let me try something this weekend. I'm thinking that there is a way to set TAGS on stories and that way we could divide topics.

Then again I might be trying to shove a square peg in a round hole.

  4. Hmmm - have to agree - a forum is probably more suited for us. Dunno if if this is any use:

  6. Labels!!!! They work. Just make sure to add a label to your new stories. There is a "label" text box towards the lower right of the story/article form.

Start typing a word that your story is about: F1, Drivers, etc.

If the label was already used you will see it in the type-ahead. If not you will be creating a new label. For example, "All Danica" does not yet exist. More than one label can be attached to a story.

I found a nifty gadget that sorts stories by labels and I put it at the top left. Click on a word and BOOM, you get to see only stories with that label.

I love it when a square peg fits in a round hole. :D
