Good one if Ferrari can get these tire characteristics sorted out - doesn't make much sense to be lining up 24 drivers on a grid when only 1 really knows what the hell is happening!
I'm actually not too impressed with how the tires have played such a major role in deciding things this year. Yes, tires should come into play, but I just don't get what's happening as a result of the tires and it is all becoming a bit (A) boring; and (B) confusing - thus I'm losing interest rather quickly I'm afraid.
I agree...if tyres are going to play such a big role, we need a tyre war again - let Michelin back into play...
ReplyDeleteI agree Sam. And this whole mess can be laid at the door of the FIA who called for changes that are nuts !!
ReplyDeleteYes, wasn't the end game to be slowing down the cars? Well, how does an F1 car go from back of the grid start to a podium finish, all credit going to the tires, but still slow down the cars? And...no track times are showing anything significant in terms of lowering speeds from previous years, are they? What exactly was the point again? Yes, I would have much preferred Michelins I think.
